Daily grooming is very helpful with a full coated Maltese.The haircoat should be long, flat and silky, and without anundercoat. It is somewhat easy to become matted, especiallywhen exposed to moisture. Gentle handling of the haircoatduring bathing and drying is encouraged to prevent hairbreakage.
